The Grey Horse pub is one of the oldest public houses in
the region, dating back over 150 years. Originally called
the Target Inn, the pub is now under the management of Cath
and Colin who pride themselves on their warm welcome and
hospitality.
The Grey Horse specialises in REAL ALES,
Currently 4 ales are been brewed on site in the New Consett
Ale Works brewery, Red Dust, White Hot, Cast Iron and Steel
Town, this list will soon be expanding and there are always
a host of guest ales available for your tasting pleasure
as well.
Also do not forget that the Grey Horse in
an official stamping station for the C2C walk / cycling
track, if you are passing, feel free to pop in and we will
stamp your book, you can always enjoy a nice refreshing
drink at the same time...

Brewery
Situated to the rear of the Grey Horse pub is the newly refurbished
Consett Ale Works Brewery, one of only a handful of on-site
microbrewerys in the region. more information will follow

& Events Wednesday
nights are quiz nights in the Grey Horse, come along and test
your general knowledge and sample some of Caths fine cooking,
entry £1 per team with Free food.
